Shortly after the Made by Google event on October 4th concludes, pre-orders for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are anticipated to be accepted. The Pixel Watch 2 will now be given away for free to Americans who pre-order a Pixel 8 Pro from Google, claims a leaked advertisement uploaded by X tipster @Za_Raczke. The new top-of-the-line Pixel and a new Pixel Watch with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip rather than the outdated 10nm Exynos 9100 from 2018 that powered the original watch are therefore available to U.S. buyers starting at the rumored price of $899.99.
This is an improvement above the $200 in Google Store credit that American customers received when they pre-ordered the Pixel 7 Pro last year for those who want to stay current with the Pixel ecosystem. Pre-orderers of the Pixel 7 in the US were given a $100 Google Store credit. Unfortunately, we still don't know what Google will be offering in exchange for pre-ordering the Pixel 8 (rumored to start at $699, $100 more expensive than the Pixel 7).
The same tipster also provided other Google Store screenshots that appear to be advertisements for Pixel capabilities like Clear Calling and Live Translate. Both make use of AI, and while one offers background noise-free calls, the other offers real-time translation in 49 languages. The security aspects of the Pixel 8 are covered on another page, while a another page informs you that you can take photos with your Pixel phone while wearing the Pixel Watch.
The Pixel 8 series provides "fast-charging" and "all-day battery you can count on," according to the stolen Google Store pages. The Super Res Zoom, Macro Focus, Night Sight, and the Magic Editor are mentioned on a website regarding camera features. With the latter, users can modify a photo in a variety of ways after it has been processed. The new Audio Magic Eraser, which eliminates obtrusive sounds from the audio you captured while filming a video, is discussed on the page for video recording.
A few pages discuss the Pixel 8 Pro's four cameras: the 48MP ultra-wide camera for better macro shots, the 48MP telephoto camera, which according to Google offers the best zoom yet on a Pixel, and the front-facing 10.5MP camera for the sharpest selfies you've ever taken. The main camera on the Pixel 8 Pro has a resolution of 50 megapixels, which improves low-light photos.
The Tensor G3 will power the 6.7-inch QHD+ display on the Pixel 8 Pro, which will have a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The phone has 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The Pixel 8 will have a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP primary camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera in a bar on the back. There will be a 10MP selfie camera up front.
