Production is suspended after a fire breaks out at the Chennai plant of Apple supplier Pegatron.

According to Reuters, Pegatron, an Apple supplier, briefly halted iPhone production at its south India factory on Monday due to a fire incident that happened on Sunday night.

According to reports, the Taiwanese company canceled all shifts for the day at the factory in the Tamil Nadu state, which is close to Chennai. According to the Reuters sources, it has not yet informed the assembly employees if the factory will begin operations on Tuesday.

It required the assistance of numerous fire engines from various stations and took about five hours to put out the fire, according to a local official from the emergency response department.
